Helichrysum Splendidum Essential Oil

The Helichrysum is a family of yellow flowering daisy plants. This family of plants is also often referred to as Immortelle and Life Everlasting. The name Helichrysum finds its origin in the Greek words helios, which means sun, and chrysos, which means gold. The use of Helichrysum dates back to Ancient Greece where it was presented to the gods as an offering. It was also reportedly used in Medieval Europe for its pleasant fragrances. With an earthy, minty fragrance this Essential Oil also has medical properties which assist in combatting bacteria and/or fungal infections. It is commonly used in the treatment of wounds. It is also said to be effective in reducing pain and inflammation and reducing muscle spasms.
